Everyone deserves a place to call home but sadly not everyone has a place to lay their head at night. Homelessness is a growing challenge in these times and there is often a feeling of helplessness or what can I do?
I have found a great organization that has a mission we can get behind. Beacon of Hope is a non-profit who provides housing for those who would otherwise be homeless due to mental disabilities. They support recovery for people with complex mental challenges by providing housing. You can get involved with this critical program by volunteering your time, making donations, or spreading the word.
A simple thing we take for granted every day-- is coming home.
One way I give back is by making a donation in my client's name on the one year anniversary of each deal closing.
Stable and supportive housing is foundational for those who need to maintain relationships, and are seeking improvement physically and psychologically.
I BELIEVE that we can be part of the solution, and am excited to help provide housing for those living with mental disabilities.
I am pledged to the letter and spirit of US policy for the achievement of equal housing opportunity throughout the nation. I encourage and support an affirmative advertising and marketing program in which there are no barriers to obtaining housing because of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, or national origin. Furthermore I am pledged to the letter and spirit of New York state policies for the achievement of equal housing opportunities. I encourage and support an affirmative advertising and marketing program in which there are no barriers to obtaining housing because of age, marital status, military status, sexual orientation, partnership, citizenship, occupation.
